This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile application Who Was First: Logic (the “App”) processes, why it is processed, and what choices you have. We built the App so that it works without accounts, without registration, and without collecting information that identifies you personally.

The App uses Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), provided by Google LLC, to deliver online features such as puzzle content, achievements, and the leaderboard. In this context the App may transmit:
We use this information only to operate and improve the App, to display rankings, and to keep the service secure and stable. Google processes this data as our service provider under its own security and privacy terms; see the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
The App can use your camera or photo library so that you can set a custom background or avatar image. The App requests access only at the moment you tap the corresponding control, and iOS will ask for your permission first. Selected images are processed and stored on your device only — they are not uploaded to us or to any third party. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera / Photos, or in the App’s own entry in iOS Settings.
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) to provide the App’s features you request; our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to keep the service secure, to prevent abuse and to fix technical problems; and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where the App asks for it, for example for camera or photo library access — which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings.
Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Leaderboard and achievement records are kept for as long as the feature is offered, and are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed or upon a valid deletion request. Technical logs generated by our service provider are retained for a short period for security and diagnostics purposes.
The App is a family-friendly logic game and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information — for example by typing it into a leaderboard nickname — please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Data transmitted between the App and our service provider is protected in transit with TLS encryption. Local data is stored in the App’s sandboxed container, protected by the operating system. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the limited information we handle.
Our service provider operates data centres in several countries, so the limited information described in section 3 may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold information that identifies you, we may need details such as your leaderboard nickname to locate a record. The simplest way to erase everything the App stores about you is to reset progress in the App’s settings or to uninstall the App; for anything held on the leaderboard, write to us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example when the App gains new features. The revised version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced within the App.
